Harefield dental practice - closure 31 March 2011
Mr Melhuish's dental practice on Northwood Road, Harefield, is no longer operating from 31 March 2011. Patients can find alternative NHS dental services by visiting www.nhs.uk/dentists or by contacting Hillingdon's Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01895 488500.
On 1 February 2011 all local community NHS services in Hillingdon formally became part of
Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL).
CNWL is an established and high performing NHS Foundation Trust which already offers a range of mental health services in Hillingdon and across another eight London Boroughs.
Recognising the benefits of offering traditional healthcare alongside mental health services, CNWL aim to improve the experience of local people in receiving local services to improve their health and wellbeing.
Claire Murdoch, Chief Executive of CNWL said: "I am delighted that CNWL is now responsible for Hillingdon Community Healthcare and have extended a warm welcome to all of their staff. I am excited about our future in offering community services and I look forward to working with local partners to continue providing high quality healthcare in Hillingdon borough."
This new relationship follows recent Government legislation that required community services to be separated from the commissioning (purchasing) function of Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) by April 2011.
Maria O’Brien, Managing Director of Hillingdon Community Health explained: "This development will not alter the services which people are currently receiving. The change will mean we can look at how to improve services locally and use our resources, finances and staff, in the best way. We will continue to have a local Patient Advice Liaison Service (PALS) as part of our clinical governance team. We do listen to what people say about the care they receive so we can continually improve and maintain excellent quality."
